Phew, I got that out of my system. All done with H!P talking now, let's move on to something cooler!


Pairing: Amu Hinamori and Ikuto Tsukiyomi

Anime/Manga: Shugo Chara

Nickname: Amuto

Current manga that totally kicks ass! Every moment they have gives me glimpses of fangirl heaven.

An absolutely lovely pairing they are. After watching the Amuto scene in episode 3, this pairing screamed out to me. Ever since then, I would fangirl like crazy over any Amuto moment that graces the manga and anime. With the tsun-tsun Amu Hinamori and the mysterious and hot Ikuto Tsukiyomi, they are the main delights of may Shugo Chara! fans.

With Amu being such a young girl, she’s only at beginner at love. She ends up having a crush on almost all the male characters in the series, but then it narrows down to Ikuto and Tadase. Amu feels more sure about her feelings for Tadase than her feelings for Ikuto. She does see Ikuto as someone very important to her. After all he does catch her when she falls and Amu is able to be her true self around him. But as I see it, it will take time for Amu to realize that she loves him for him and for all that he’s done for her.

Ikuto, who probably has more of a clue of what love is, has already decided his love for Amu. She caught his interest anyway by being very different towards him and not treating him as an enemy. Even his sister Utau says that he has never taken an interest in anyone but Amu. With the predicament that he’s in, he does whatever he can to push Amu away from him. In the end, he and Amu, can’t seem to keep a distance from each other.

There’s the huge controversy with this pairing: their age difference. A reason why some don’t support them. Amu is 13 years old and Ikuto is 18 years old. People say that some Ikuto’s actions to Amu are what make him, some would say, a pedophile (which he is xD). The age difference, though, is a quality that I enjoy so much in this pairing. It’s something that’s rarely focused on in most mangas. When I think about it, I find it very adorable. ♥


Now exactly what moments do they have that make many fangirls go wild? Well there’s plenty like:

• The first time they meet, Ikuto...touches her butt xD
• The infamous ear-biting scene
• The duet
• The random moments where Ikuto catches a falling Amu
• The dark alley scene
• The amusement park scene
• The random hug scene in which Ikuto brought up the amusement park scene that pissed off his sister xD
• The ice cream scene
• The time when Ikuto stayed at Amu’s house and slept in the same bed where he confessed to her
• The Amulet Fortune and Death Rebel scene
• The Pirate saves the Bride scene
• The amusement park scene #2
• And last but not least, the saying goodbye and kissing at the airport
