Berryz Koubou Sakura-Con 2011

Hey :3

As most of you probably know, I wasn't able to go see Berryz :(

But I still wanted to write this to express my feelings about it.

I'm so happy the girls got to go to Seattle <3

I hope it was an amazing expirience for them, that they will remember forever <3

And everyone that did get to go: I hope you had fun for me :D

But...

I heard (on H!O) that there was a lot of Risako haters there :(

I still don't understand how people can hate her, except that they haven't taken time to know the real her...

Please, if you don't like Risako, give her a chance. That's really all I'm asking...

But I also heard that they were awesome :D

And I watched some of the videos people recorded from Sakura (you can watch them on YoutTube)

Although the girls seemed nervous, I think they really had fun :)

Or at least I hope they did ._.

Maybe someday they'll come closer to me (and Arche) so that we can go see them :D

Even though I am sad that I couldn't see them...

I hope they had fun :3

Because they're Berryz, and I love them <3

Thank you Berryz :)

ESPECIALLY YOU, RISAKO! <33333

  1. Oh, yes I went.(I'm hello!projecthappines by the way got banned though so haven't been able to share my experience on H!O.) Risako was pretty shy but very friendly and adorable during the autograph session.

I'll just copy what I wrote on jphip.

  2. Day One:

Got to the convention at 9 and there was some drama with me just like...overreacting.

I noticed there were many Berryz Kobo fans already. Shirts and a lot of happi's. A lot of japanese fans were there as well.
Things became wonderful when I just started talking to people and a girl just came up and asked, ''Are you here for Berryz?'' I said yes and we just... started talking and became really good friends. She lives really close to me which is nice.

Now... a very interesting thing about how a lot of people got into the dealers hall for autographs.

I was told by the people I talked to earlier to come talk to this women to put my name on a list for autographs. To guarantee we get them and so we all followed her into a room upstairs. We were told to get in line so she could put our names on the list. Then, we followed her back down into the dealers hall waiting area a huge explanation was explained. Our group would be let in first into the dealers hall for the autographs(!) They started calling of names off the list. There were about a little over 150 people in the group? We were let in were told not to run in a very strict way. People listened but still power walked. Then, so began the line for the tickets and it was big. It even started to curve in the end.

Luckily I was one of the first people and got my friday autograph quickly.

For the q and a the line also curved a bit. We were let in and a video introducing Berryz members began to play. Audience cheered and while Rival played, chants were heard. Then, Berryz walked in and we greeted with cheers and posed as we were allowed pictures for the first 2 or 3 minutes.
The q and a was super fun. Risako, Yurina and Captain were a bit quiet but Momo, Maasa, and definitely Miya(I think she has been the most interactive) were very interactive and fun.

The autograph session was a hour after but fans lined up. I was one of the first and talked to quite a few. We realized when the autograph session was about to start they were behind the curtain and started cheering. And let me just tell you... Miya is amazing She just like stared right at me, smiled and waved. And that's when I was going to cry.

When I was just about to get their autographs, I could feel the lump in my throat and my mouth moving and started sniffling but then I got to Saki(She was the first) and just got nervous and it went away. I went to her and gave her my photocard and said, ''I'm from los angeles!" and she said ''huh(or something like that) or just looked up at me to like repeat it and I said it again and she went, ''Oh!!!'' And I went to momo. As she was signing my card, I said, ''Buono'' I'm not sure she heard me cause she didn't answer back. I think I didn't say anything for Chi or Maasa. But Yurina... is my favorite memory. As I gave her my photocard I said, ''ENJOY!'' And she replied, ''Oh!'' and shook her head and then again said, ''Enjoy!'' And she wrote ENJOY! on my card and she didn't do that to others!!! For Risako...she was shy in the q and a but in autographs she was just plain out...friendly and adorable. I was wearing a fanmade Risako shirt and a Risako towel and showed her after I said she was my favorite(Really it's actually Chi currently but I was just nervous so it's okay and I was wearing Risako shirt and towel so...)

Guest reception. It was sad for other guests. You could see so many Berryz fans! When the other guests introduced themselves people clapped but when Berryz came people cheered and I was in the front luckily. Taking pictures. My friend first saw them and I went over to them and saw Captian and waved. She acknowledged me with a nod! Waved again and she did it again! Then I went back and saw them, they were so close! Miyabi waved at me again.

  4. Day Two:

I guess I'll do a recap of the concert. I was texted by my friend they were doing the list thing again so I rushed down there but she already had put my name on the list. Yeah... so the list didn't work for the concert.

In line for the concert, it was the same stupid drama with me again but when we were being let in the venue that changed. I got excited! I got like 3 or 4th row. Great view. When the VTR came on, I already was losing my voice. -_- And that and it was kinda annoying that it wouldn't just start. The cool thing though is my friend and I would start the chants before the concert and then people would follow.

Finally though the concert began and it was about the Sendai earthquake and then Berryz came out singing Ganbare Nippon Ai wa Katsu which was sweet and it had the PV. I didn't even look at the PV but just them. It's such an amazing felling to see them in person.

I'm just going to write some notes of the concert now.

-Risako looked at me and smiled? Well, I'm pretty sure she looked at me!!

-Chinami wore the cute fish costume!

-Berryz english... Yeah, there was hardly any english from them and Chinami's was... Still props to her for trying(?)

-Miyabi is a great performer and so Is Chinami. They looked happy!

-We got to sing along during Rival!!

-There was a encore. I was the first to yell, ''BERRYZ IKUBE'' of course no one listened and did, ''encore'' instead. It caught on though...

And now that was my Berryz weekend. I know I wasn't there the last day, today, but I'm so lucky to have gotten an autograph on friday and had a chance for the drawing on friday.

  5. Final Thoughts:

I left in the morning on sunday so wasn’t there on the third day but luckily I had already done the events on sunday. I got a autograph friday and was in the raffle friday evening.

This weekend was amazing. Berryz is third favorite group but I sure do like them more then I realize. And the fans were amazing and I was surprised to so many japanese wotas. All of them were so kind! I meet one at the hello!party and when I said I like Miya, he just out of the blue gave me a Miya shirt!!!

Thank you Berryz Koubou for coming to Seattle! It was pleasure asking you a question at the q and a and having you answer it, meeting you, and seeing you perform live!

    Till next time!

  6. I hope someday they'll come closer! Or at least I'll have enough money to go and see them (lol so much money, I remember I needed like, AT LEAST, $2,5k). It was so frustrating, because I did have my parent's permission (I'm 19 so I can travel by myself if I want to), but the money just wasn't enough.

H!O people were so nice to me, though. I'm sad because I wanted to meet them all. I hope someday, I'll be able to not only see Berryz in person, but also see you H!Oers. It'd be so awesome.

There're rumors Super Junior's coming to Chile. I should be super excited, but I just wanted to see Berryz XD I wanted them to be my first concert ever. You can't have everything in this life it seems!

Just keep your head high and hope someday we'll be able to see each other and spazz over Risako together! I'll be waiting for that day. Until then, ganbare and be cheerful!

  9. I LOVE Risako, Maasa is my fave and I'd have to say Miya is my second fave, but Risako is in my top 12 H!P peeps of all time. How could anyone dislike ANY of Berryz? They are all AWESOME. How do we follow your blog? I need to do more H!P updates.. ;__;

  10. I got to go to Sakura Con and see berryz! The best part of my experience was when I met them in a chocolate shop around Seattle (totally by accident). I talked with Yurina (who happens to be my bias) and I shook her hand. We had a pleasant coversation. (She even complimented my Japanese!) It was a fun trip. Sorry you couldn't go :(
